Shaunta Paap: Low-carbohydrate diets for weight loss are receiving a lot of attention of late. Reasons for this interest include aplethora of low-carbohydrate diet books, the over-sensationalism of these diets in the media and by celebrities, andthe promotion of these diets in fitness centres and health clubs. Some commercial pet foods also contain the same ingredient found in clay kitty litter! There is nothing wrong with a dog eating feet or organs, or even chicken backs and neckbones! My dogs happen to LOVE pigs feet. Organs are extremely rich in nutrients and are actually very good for your pets....Show more

And, because calories are (a unit of) energy, a low cal diet is a low energy diet or a hypoenergetic diet. In other words, "hypoenergetic" is a low calorie diet and the word is used to distinguish between fat loss type diets and other types of diets. For example, a person who is underweight may opt for a hyPERenergetic diet while a person who is overweight will prefer a hyPO energetic diet.Good luck and good health!!â ...Show more
