Police took dad to lakeside? mental health?

Marylee Lucks: Lakeside, not the cops, can hold him for mental health observation and testing up to 72 hours. In most cases the shrinks evaluate and decide that the person is no longer a danger to himself or others. When that happens they let him go. Around me the stay is about 4 or 5 hours. They may suggest follow up counseling or voluntary commitment fi needed. If they feel the person is still a danger after 72 hours adn the person refuses further treatment they can go to a judge for a forced judicial commitment.Like I said in most of the cases the person is out after they come down, usually the same day they are brought in.Ain't the holidays just grand....Show more

Porfirio Cahall: ****! Well i hope its a rehab center but any way the police need's an order to send him to a rehab center and maybe its just for a month or a few week's

Buddy Ardd: You're a nice person.

Cierra Gadbaw: He'll be ok and he'll be back. Don't worry. Maybe they can help him with hi! s drinking.

Bruce Calise: Listen to Les. Lakeside will try to get him into some type of rehab. Right now they are going to detox him. He is safer there than a jail. I suggest you look into Ala-teen which is a support group for teenagers who have a parent or loved one with a drinking problem. They will help you with dealing with you with your feelings about having a parent who has a drinking prolem, and how it affects you. They also have support groups for kids whose parents have drug problems google Nar-anon....Show more
