help. target optical?

Bailey Lares: This is more in response to the poster above me. I go to Target Optical now after spending many years seeing a private practitioner as my insurance has changed. You think that the eye doctor at LensCrafters is better trained than those at Wal-Mart or Target?? All persons that practice as optometry must obtain an OD from a school of optometry and pass a licensure exam. The only difference in training may be in the school that the OD, and seeing that there are only 19 schools of optometry in the entire country chances are OD's in your area probably all went to the same school meaning their "training" is exactly the same. Now, sorry for the rant, to answer your question. I do not remember the exact brands that Target sells, but I do know that they sell a large variety of frames in many modern colors and styles as well as the more traditional plain type of frames....Show more

Sammie Bocanegra: Try this one, one of my favorite site.

Rodrigo Pezley: Fro! m personal experiences, I think most of the prices are fairly similar no matter where you go. It's the company that made the glasses is how the price is based.I like lensecrafters the most compared to Walmart or Target. Mainly because I think the OP's are more well trained when it comes to giving you exams. Now my eye insurance wont cover anything bought like at Walmart or Target. So that is why I don't purchase anything from there. I think as far as variety is for frames, I think lensecrafter has the most. Plus I bought glasses awhile back ago before I got my contacts from Walmart and they broke a months later. The Lens popped out. It's really up to you though. I think you find a higher quality at a business....Show more

Clemmie Burkleo: i agree with addy. i think the eye doctors in walmart are slobs. my contact prescription was way off. they also got impatient with me when i was trying to learn how to put them on. i gave up after the third attempt and went to a famil! y business.
