It depends on you, your experience, your insurance claims experience, the value of the boat, whether or not it is financed or not, as well as all the insurance "options" you need or choose to take. I can tell you this however - if you are a homeowner, and have homeowners insurance, the very cheapest way to get all the coverage you need on your boat, is to add it on as an addendum to your homeowners policy. In my case, and in most all cases I know of (as the boaters in my marina all set around and talk of such things) it pretty well holds true in every case, that it is about 25% to even 50% cheaper then getting it anywhere else....Show more
