My Tivo restarts daily,they said it is the hard drive? I've heard may complaints of this issue?

Tivos use standard hard drives; the main difficulty in replacing them is you have to put the special Tivo software on the drive before you put it in. Consider the age of the Tivo and whether it has life time service. This should give you some idea of how much you are willing to spend to fix the Tivo.
