Patrica Loertscher: These locations are slightly different on every airplane. Aircraft must be "skin mapped" to determine the best locations for each type of antenna, and similar frequency antenna must be properly seperated to prevent interference. Some antenna, like weather radar and VOR, are internal in modern commercial and military aircraft. Try Advisory Circular AC43.13-2A, Chapter 3, it has some simple figures of some very old installations. The best idea I can think of would be to get a pic of the plane you want to show in your presentation and have someone knowledgeable show you where everything is....Show more
Curtis Josef: You might want to contact the manufacturer (Boeing, Airbus, etc.) and see if they can assist.
Delmer Pectol: No there are not any supersonic airliners in service. for sure surely Concorde and tu-one hundred 44 (concordsky) might want to benefit this kind of not straightforward job. The fastest commercial jet presently is the boeing! 747 at round mach 0.80 cruising %. every person who says 500 knots is lieing to you. it is its maximum % no longer its operation %. before the VC-10 and convair 880/990 were the fastest at round mach 0.ninety 2.
Wally Gower: I don't know of anything on the web (terrorism has shut down most sites with details on aircraft) but there is a great book that has exploded diagrams of all commercial aircraft http://www.allbookstores.com/book/1840650222/Moder...
