Average cost of auto insurance in Illinois?..?

Bethany Blocker: In Chicago, it is more expensive than in the suburbs and surrounding area. Many people in the city don't even have insurance, so you better have a good one. In strip malls there is just-legal insurance for about $25 a month. Keep in mind that does nothing except for having proof of insurance. I would say good insurance around $1000 a year in most of Illinois (not in city)

Frank Crummell: Far too many variables to tell. Do you live in the city or downstate? Even the difference in rates between Cook and DuPage County can be significant. How old is your car? How much coverage do you need? Just liability or comprehensive and collision as well? If so, how much of a deductible do you want? It's impossible to answer the question based on the information given....Show more

Venetta Coulbourne: depends on the type o! f insurance coverage, and deductible

Shaun Rapkowicz: Depends on where you live, your age, how much you drive, what Insurance Co you buy thru , age of the car ... anything financed has to have full coverage... there is no way for any one to answer this !

Ninfa Asby: there is no average ..far too may variables
